Processing & Delivery
The time we need to process your purchase is 1 to 2 business days. If you order INNER COATING our process time becomes 3 to 4 business days. We start preparing the shipment, immediately after the purchase is made.
Import duties and local taxes are not included in the delivery and are due from the customer. Please, note that for each country different import taxes may occur.
We will deliver the goods ordered by you to the address you give us for delivery at the time you make your order. Please, try to provide a correct address and phone number for delivery. Phone number is needed so you can be contacted in case you are not at the address at the time of delivery.
Please note, it is our customer’s responsibility to contact the post office or the courier company (as applicable) to arrange pick-up or re-delivery of merchandise that could not be delivered previously because customer were unavailable
Once the shipment is dispatched we will provide the customer with tracking details.
The delivery time also depends on the postal service, the security, airport and customs procedures on the way, and this timing is beyond our control.

Worldwide Shipping (ECONOMY) takes between 4-5 business days (depending on location). Shipping is performed by UPS.

In the case of unforeseen circumstances beyond our reasonable control (for example, bad weather conditions, unpredictable delays caused by traffic congestion, road works, diversions or mechanical breakdowns, in each case to the extent beyond our reasonable control) we may not be able to deliver the goods within these timescales and we will not be liable for any delay or failure to deliver the goods if the delay or failure is wholly or partly caused by such circumstances.
We use foam stiffed bags and 5-layer cardboard box to ensure our products are safe during transport. All of our boxes are sealed with Pulvis Art Urns sticker. Please, note that the transport company can take extra protection measures such as wrapping the box with other protection materials.
If you receive a product, which is damaged, or defunct then we will be happy to provide replacement or refund. Goods should be inspected immediately for damage, in front of the courier (if possible) and if found to be damaged reported to us within 24 hours quoting the order number. Please note this does not include damage or defect caused by accident, misuse or neglect by the customer.
Please, note that we do not accept returns or exchanges if the urn is too small to hold the ashes or if another colour is preferred after receiving the urn. All products have their capacity and dimensions in the listing description, which can be found at our website.
In order to allow us to handle the return process in the quickest and best manner possible, please fill out as much information as possible on the return form, which can be found here. Customers have the right to cancel and return their order within 14 days, only if the product is damaged during transport or defective.
Prior to return, please assure that the package or the product is not damaged. In case your shipment is delivered damaged, please contact us as soon as possible at [email protected] so we can resolve this issue.
Please note, that Pulvis Art Urns only refunds the purchased product if there's a problem with the item due to delivery (damaged or defective).
All return costs are due from the cusotmer.
How can I return an order?
In cooperation with DPD Group, we offer our customers an online return service. You can generate and print a shipping label for your return. Please stick or glue the printed label on the return parcel.
Now you can send the parcel via your nearest DPD Pickup point. In order for us to handle your return shipment properly, we ask that you fill out the return form as completely as possible and enclose this in the parcel.

The purchase amount of products returned according to our Returns Policy will be refunded to the payment source (i.e. credit card / paypal) used to place the order in 14 business days. Your refund will be for the actual purchase price of the item. For example, if you return an item purchased as part of a sale or promotion, you will receive a refund for the actual amount paid, not the total retail price of the item.Damaged or missing parts of the product would result in non-refund.

Choosing the right urn
Pulvis Art Urns offers a wide variety of ceramic urns and keepsakes for human ashes with traditional and modern design. What size urn would I need?
The ash remains of adults would require 100-180 cubic inches, but the variation depends on their weight. The standard Pulvis Art urns vary when it comes to capacity. If you want to share the ashes with your family members, you can consider the keepsake urns. We offer choices in terms of size, design and color.
What is the difference between a keepsake and a standard urn?
A keepsake urn is a small urn, which purpose is to contain a small amount of ashes, so that other family members can each have a memorial. In this respect they perform a similar task to ashes jewellery. A standard urn is designed to take the full amount of ashes. In case you cannot fit all the ashes, you can have a keepsake to store the remaining ashes.
How much ashes are left after cremation?
Standard size urns have approximately 200 cubic inches or 3,5 Litres of internal volume and are suitable for an average adult. 1 Litre is 61 cubic inches and 1 cubic inch is 0,0164 Litres. If you are not sure of the exact volume please contact your crematorium.
How to place the ashes in the cremation urns?
You should receive the ashes in a plastic bag, or container. We recommend keeping them in the plastic container and then place them into the urn. If you feel uncomfortable doing this, you can contact a funeral director to put the ashes in the urn for you. When it comes to inserting ashes in one of our products you can watch this video. What do I do with the ashes?
You may wish to scatter your loved ones ashes in a memorable location. Some people scatter the ashes and use the urn to contain some small personal possessions. There are no rules regarding this. You can scatter the ashes on any piece of private land, as long as you have the owner's permission. For scattering on public land, you'll need to ask for permission from the local government. In our blog you can find various articles regarding this topic.
Ashes can be also kept in a place of remembrance, normally at home or at a columbarium. Burying the ashes is also an option, as they are placed in an urn and buried in a designated spot.
Before buying, consider where you wish to keep the urn and how prominent you would like it to be. Keepsake urn, for example, are perfect if you want to keep just a little reminder of the loved one or share the ashes between family. Keeping ashes in the garden is also a suitable variant.
Scattering the ashes of a loved one is a special occasion. With just a little preparation in advance the ceremony of scattering will be meaningful and memorable. There are numerous ways you could add a memorable addition and that is entirely up to you.
Some of the options we suggest :
- Use a scattering urn;
- Release doves;
- Recite a poem or sing a song;
- Scatter wildflower seeds or plant a tree - where allowed;
- Hire a company, specialised in such matters;
Please, be responsible and don't leave funeral tributes on public places after the ceremony.
Can the urn be sealed?
Please note, that we recommend sealing our large urns with adhesive(glue) suitable for ceramic surfaces. This is done in order to prevent spilling of the ashes and entrance of water or humidity inside the urn. Ceramic lids are without threads and DO NOT close tightly, which may lead to ashes spill if not sealed.
We recommend using plastic bag for ashes. Alternative to the plastic bag is our INNER COATING® technology.
How to seal the urn:

- Unpack the glue and place the urn upside down. If it is filled with ashes it should be in this position already.
- Take care that the surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry and free of dust. Apply glue evenly, covering the whole lip.
- Place the cap carefully and rotate it on 90°.
- Center the cap so it covers the hole evenly, leaving no gaps.
- Apply more glue to fill the space between the lip and the cap. Leave the urn in this position for 10-15 minutes.
- You can place it in the box. In 10 minutes, the glue will have formed a silicone-like layer.
- The glue is no longer sticky and the urn can now be moved. We advise you to leave the urn in this position for at least 1-2 hours.
- The glue will fully harden in 4-8 hours, depending on circumstances, like temperature and humidity.
Pulvis Art Urns (Pulvis OOD) will not bear any responsibility if any damage to the urn is caused, because of unproper sealing and storage. Sealing responsibility is entirely due to the customer or the third parties that deliver the service to the customer (funeral homes, crematoria, etc.)
Can I put other things in the urn?
There are no rules regarding this! You can put anything that fits in the urn, as long as the urn is big enough. Some people prefer to scatter the ashes and use the urn as a container for some small personal possessions.
Caring for ceramic urns
Ceramic urns can be gently wiped clean with a dry cloth to remove any dust build-up or other surface dirt. Ceramics are fragile and can break easily if knocked over. For more information on this topic, you can read this article in our blog.
Cremation process - Everything you need to know
As cremation is getting more and more popular, many people want to find out what happens at a cremation and where the ashes go afterwards.
The process takes place in a cremation chamber, where the body is exposed to a high temperature, raging between 1400 to 1800 degrees Fahrenheit. On average, the cremation process takes between two and three hours.
It is important to know that any medical devices, jewellery or sentimental keepsakes should be removed before cremation.
After the process of cremation, the ashes are removed from the chamber and placed to cool. The body is now reduced to fine white-grey ash.
Usually a coffin is not necessary for cremation, as it is used mainly to provide a dignified way to move the body. On the cremation day, the coffin is brought into the chapel followed by the mourners. It is then labelled with an appropriate card with the needed information for the cremation and then the coffin is positioned inside the cremation chamber.

It is not common for funeral homes and cemeteries to have their own crematorium, however, some of them offer this service. The average cost of cremation service is usually around $800. They may be extra fees such as doctor’s fee, administration services and funeral ceremony expenses. The cremation process is way cheaper than a burial, mostly due to the shortage of cemetery land and the high expenses of burial spaces.
Travelling with ashes
When choosing to carry ashes with you when travelling, then you should consider the following things :
- the certificate for cremation;
- a certified copy of the death certificate;
- carry the cremated remains in a non-metallic urn;
- contact the airline operator in advance;
- notify customs;
Usually an unaccompanied cremation ashes can be sent by airfreight under certain circumstances, but you have to contact your airline operator in advance.

WHAT IS INNER COATING® by Pulvis
Ceramic is a unique material, but it has some drawbacks too. It is very fragile and mishaps can result in a very unpleasant experience. Cremains can get mixed with ceramic debris, making it almost impossible to clean.
INNER COATING® is a thin rubber-like layer that acts as a protection layer for the cremation ashes. It is applied on the inner side of the urn and it's sole purpose is to hold the ashes in one place in case of a mishap.
Please, note that inner layer will not prevent the urn from breaking in case of a mishap. Sharp debris from the ceramic can penetrate the rubber layer sometimes, but it will still hold ashes in one place.
How to add INNER COATING® to your urn
Inner Coating is optional and can be purchased in our website for most of our cremation urns and keepsakes. It takes three extra business days to be applied and it costs additional 60$. You can order it by choosing the "YES" option in the checkout menu.
Please note, that with the INNER COATING® option, the urn can lose about 20% of its original capacity and it also becomes heavier.
